PRESSURE CONTROL

Tri-Flo Horizontal Degasser Tri-Flo Horizontal Degasser

DESCRIPTION:
For more than 25 years this concept of a vacuum horizontal degasser has proven to be the most effective method of removing explosive gas from your active mud system. Tri-Flo improved on this concept three ways: by increasing the output capability of the vessel, eliminating the possibility of creating an explosive air gas mixture during the discharge phase, and lowering the center of gravity by mounting the vacuum pump under the vessel.

FEATURES:
Increased Capacity
The new design is capable of pulling 13 inches of vacuum and degassing 1200 gallons of mud per minute.

A Simple Concept Makes It Work
A positive vacuum withdraws all volatile distillates and gasses from a thin layer of drilling fluid that is evenly dispersed over an angled baffle assembly. The volatile gasses are then safely vented away from the well site area.

Tri-Flo Compact Degasser Tri-Flo Compact Degasser

In 1981, Tri-Flo engineers introduced to the pressure control market a small but reliable 48" vertical degasser that is called the Tri-Flo Compact 800. The vessel can handle 800 GPM of gas cut drilling mud.

One of the safety features built into the Tri-Flo Compact 800 Degasser is when the vacuum is equalized to discharge mud. The gas being separated is returned to the vessel, instead of using outside air containing oxygen, thus preventing a possible combustible mixture.

The compact degasser has the same CSA/UL approved 3 HP 230/460 volt, 3 Phase 60 HZ motor with explosion-proof starter and vacuum compressor as our popular horizontal degasser.

The Benefits of the Compact 800 include:

1. Compact and portable 6. Positive vacuum assist
2. Easy and quick installation 7. Minimizes barite costs
3. Mounts on top of the mud tank 8. Restores true mud weight
4. Low maintenance 9. Safe and efficient
5. 16" suction extends into
the mud level below
10. Reduces blowout potential by
recycling of gas to discharge
the vessel
