Tri-Flo 20-2" Sand/Silt Separator
In late 1982, Tri-Flo began experimenting with a 2 inch polyurethane cone. The
Tri-Flo 20-2" Sand/Silt Separator makes close to an 8-10 micron cut in field muds,
depending on fluid viscosity and density. Flow through each cone can be controlled
by a cut off valve before entering the cone. A control rod in the Tri-Flo
patented discharge cane finely tunes the vacuum created in the cone. Changing the
vacuum will affect the cut point of the particle size being separated in the cone;
thus providing a finer, wetter cut or a more coarse, dry cut as desired. Field tests
have consistently shown the Tri-Flo 2 inch cone to discard twice the pounds of
dirt per hour as a Tri-Flo 4 inch cone.
